Over four days of intensive workshops, urban planning experts at Nudhum Al-Benaa collaborated on designing master plan alternatives for Safwan Town in Basra Governorate, Iraq, which serves as Iraq’s border crossing with Kuwait. The process began with formulating development strategies and preparing alternatives, culminating in creating a fourth and fifth alternative. Ultimately, the preferred alternative was chosen to fulfill the vision and aspirations of the city and its strategic stakeholders, addressing current challenges and paving the way for sustainable future development for the town and its residents.
